Our community plays “Classic BattleTech”, or the “Total Warfare ruleset.” For new players, we recommend the Battlemech Manual as a first rulebook. Veteran players should know that our community plays BV2, typically lance v. lance, star v. star, or 2 lance v. 1 star.
