Who’s the toughest branch? The smartest? The strongest?
This Veterans Day, we’re settling it once and for all — right here at 5x5 Brewing Co.
Join us for Battle of the Branches, a friendly head-to-head competition between the U.S. military branches to crown the ultimate champion.
Each branch will field a 6-person team and face off in four events that test strength, teamwork, and grit.

🔥 Events
Pull-Ups (Cumulative Total)
Each branch sends up six participants. Every rep counts — clean form only. Totals combined for your branch score.
Push-Ups (Cumulative Total)
One minute per person. Full range of motion. Add up all six competitors’ totals to represent your branch.
Tug-of-War (Bracket-Style)
Army vs Marines. Navy vs Air Force. Winner vs winner. One branch walks away with the rope — and the bragging rights.
Military Spelling Bee (Hosted by Our DJ)
Think you’re the sharpest in your squad? Each branch sends a rep to the mic. Miss a word — you’re out. Last branch standing wins.

🏆 How to Win
No points. No judges’ favorites.
Just raw numbers and straight-up wins.
• Highest total pull-ups wins that event.
• Highest total push-ups wins that event.
• Winner of tug-of-war wins that event.
• Winner of spelling bee wins that event.
Whichever branch wins the most events is crowned the Battle of the Branches Champion.
If there’s a tie, the total combined pull-ups + push-ups break it.
📋 Event Schedule
• 2:00 PM – Registration opens (sign up day-of)
• 3:45 PM – Rules & safety briefing
• 4:00 PM – Pull-Ups
• 4:45 PM – Push-Ups
• 5:30 PM – Tug-of-War
• 6:30 PM – Military Spelling Bee (hosted by DJ)
• 7:45 PM – Final tally & awards
• 8:00 PM – Awards, prizes, music, and post-competition beers

• DJ-hosted competition & music
• Cold 5x5 craft beer
• Veteran camaraderie & laughs
• No preregistration just show up and represent your branch
🎖️ Rules at a Glance
• 6 people per branch team
• All events are open to veterans, active duty, and supporters
• Judging is based purely on total numbers or wins
• Clean form required for pull-ups/push-ups (judged by staff)
• Winner announced at the end of the day.
