BARDS IS BACK FOR OUR THIRD SEASON!!!! And we're part of the Scranton Fringe Festival for the second year in a row! Check back for writer announcements after BATTLE OF THE BARDS 15 (that one's August 24th!)Four never-before-seen plays performed by a mix of local favorites and theater newbies, all in a relaxed bar environment with no cover.
Battle of the Bards gives four local playwrights three days to each write a short play.
Then we print the scripts and bring them to a party where YOU can volunteer to act them out (or just watch) -- No memorizing and no pressure; scripts go on stage with you!

Party/actor signups start at 5:30!
Plays start at 6:30!
... And after that... Theater social! Meet all the acting/writing/directing/staging folks that put on plays around here! Ask about their next show! Take a shot with the Shakespeare statue! ... and it's V-Spot's karaoke night!
