The British contingent going to the Battle of Pavia in February 2025. The group will be playing the Black Band - the Landsknechts who remained in the French service after Georg von Frundsberg called the remaining mercenaries not in Imperial service back to the colours. Hence they will be fighting other landsknechts in pitched pike blocks. The plan is for everyone to make their own way to Pavia, and the group will be bringing a gear van. Participants will be expected to kick in to the costs of the van. The cost per person is yet to be worked out, and a non-refundable deposit will be required to secure a spot. Standard 1525 landsknecht kit with a white cross or black and white sash as a field sign will be sufficient. Permits and powder for carrying an arquebus will be worked on. The weather in Pavia in February could be anything from snow on the ground to balmy.
