BATTLE AT THE BEND 2024 "Chattown's LAST stand"

It's that time of year again! BATTLE AT THE BEND!

Mark your calendars, Saturday November 9th CHATTOWN SKATEPARK from 4pm -10pm
This contest series was started 14 years ago by the Chattanooga Skatepark
project with a mission to raise awareness of our need for a new and
improved concrete skatepark. I'm happy to announce that the mission
was a success! The budget for our new park has been approved and
construction should start later this year!

That also means the dismantling of our current park. It has served the
community well for the past 24 years, and we'd like to send it off
with a BANGER!
We're calling this BATB "Chattown's LAST stand".

We're going to start the day off with a Grom (12- Under) Jam Starting at 4:00PM

followed by An Old Bones (35+) Jam Begins at 4:15PM

Following these Jam events we will be given a live update form the City Parks Dept regarding the new construction at 4:30PM

Lastly the MAIN EVENT an open division contest!

This year 1st, 2nd, & 3rd are all going to take home a chunk of change provided by Friends of Outdoor Chattanooga!

Main Event Starts at 5:00PM

This Year's contest will look a little diffrent.

Qualifiers:

60 Skaters Divided into heats of 5

Each Heat of 5 Skaters will be given 5 mins to skate the park in a small jam format.

After the 5 mins is up each skater will be given 1 try at a final trick.

Finals:

5 skaters will be chosen from all of the previous heats and given 10 mins to skate the park in a jam format.

after the 10 mins is up, each skater will be given 2 tries at a last trick.

The top 3 Skaters will each recieve prize money donated by Friends of Outdoor Chattanooga as well as a prize pack from the event sponsors.

only 60 spots are available so be sure to register asap.

ONLY THOSE SKATING IN THE MAIN EVENT CONTEST NEED TO REGISTER.

all contestants must sign a waver day of. all contests under 18 must have a parent of legal gaurdian present for waiver signature.
