About this Event
Bathing Waters Forum 2024 is nearly here!
At Surfers Against Sewage (SAS), we're so excited to be hosting the second annual bathing waters forum. Join us at the People's History Museum in Manchester on Saturday 16th November 2024, for an inspiring day of community-led workshops and sessions on bathing water designation.
This in-person event is for anyone who wants to protect their wild waters. Whether you've achieved bathing water designation, are working on an application or are just thinking about starting the process, it's a must-attend event.
You'll be equipped with the tools and resources you need to establish a campaign in your community, find out how Citizen Science can bolster your campaign and see how you can create change at both a local and national level. And you'll meet incredible communities and individuals like you, who are driving change for their waters across the UK!
We're still working on the full agenda (coming soon). Here's what you can expect to see:
- Networking opportunities with like-minded communities
- Lessons and tips from communities that have achieved designation
- Collaborative sessions on topics like campaigning, influencing policy, communication
and citizen science - Developing a roadmap together to ensure bathing water designation is a mechanism
for change - A celebration of communities like yours who are standing up for their rivers, lakes and
seas
