About this Event
Four years after our last frocktails event we're having another - but this will be a little bigger....
Come along for an evening of fabric and pattern chat, admiring me made dresses and some ice breakers to get to know people in the newly refurbished Huntsman in Bath. We will have a private room upstairs with a bar so that we can talk as loudly and excitedly as we like about the latest patterns, and fabric stroke without any funny looks!
The evening will start at 7 with a welcome drink and mingling, followed by a quiz and then food (more substantial than canapes, but not a sit down meal), with then more time for sewing and fabric chat. There will be plenty of photo opportunities and time to meet likeminded sewists - it'll be GREAT.
Every attendee will get a welcome goody card with some sewing treats (supported by Pigeon Wishes and Becky's Sewing Studio) and Becky will also have a small pop up stall with her gorgeous haberdashery items (photo below of her stall at Stitching4All). There will also be a raffle with a voucher for a favourite fabric shop, plus lots of extras!!
I totally get that coming to one of these when you don't know anyone may be a little daunting (conferences with the networking breaks terrify me) but I promise no one will be left alone. When you arrive, if you don't know anyone we will introduce you to people and the quiz early on in the evening will allow you to chat to your team and meet new people. You already have one topic in common with everyone in the room which is a great start!! We will also have a what's app group about a month before the event to say hi and share our makes.
The Huntsman is right in the centre of Bath with plenty of hotels nearby if you wanted or needed to stay over.
