Please join us for our weekly workday at Bates Woods Park! This is a great way to meet your neighbors and take a few hours to improve your park!We will meet at the pavilion near Animal Control at 9am and head out around ten after.
Everyone is welcome to work at their own speed and to leave early if needed. We intend to work til noon.
The workday leader will give a quick training once we're at the site so that folks know what to cut and what to leave. We also have a document that details the plants we're targeting and how we're removing them.
If you have pruning shears, loppers, or other cutting implements that you would like to use, please bring them! We will have some community tools for folks as well.
If you have gloves please bring them! We will have a few pairs for folks to use if you don't have your own.
Remember to bring water.
Ideally wear clothing that protects you from biting inspects and poison ivy.
Bathrooms are available at Bates Woods Park, near the entrance to the park.
