GET THE FUNK UP!The Purple Funk Familia is BACK for the 7th annual BATDANCE, and this time our theme is Heroes and Villains!
We've brought this very special PRINCE-HALLOWEEN event from the beginning in 2018 at The Legionnaire in Oakland, shifted gears to VIRTUALLY through 2020-2021, to making the Fireside in Alameda our home since 2022 in celebration of Prince scoring the motion picture soundtrack to the 1989 Batman movie.
Dressing in DC & MARVEL-inspired Heroes, Sheroes, and Villains is encouraged.
My purple partner-in-Bat-crime, Grandmaster DJ DePope of Funk will be comin’ in HOT and keeping the dance floor on FIYAH spinning PRINCE and The Minneapolis Sound. We're also happy to welcome back DJ-C, who will be joining us this year to lay down all your favorite old school joints. I'm proud and honored to return as your host for our annual SPOOKILICIOUS affair.
