About Carlos Wilfredo Encarnación
Carlos Wilfredo Encarnación is a visual artist and educator born and raised in Puerto Rico. Encarnación received a BA in Painting from CUNY-Herbert H. Lehman College, and an MFA from CUNY-The City College of New York. He is the recipient of the Bronx Museum’s AIM Fellowship 2019, BronxArtSpace/Governors Island Residency 2020, Ankhlave Fellowship 2022 and Wave Hill’s Winter Workspace Art Residency 2023. His works have been included in exhibitions at the NY Botanical Garden, Bronx River Art Center, BronxArtSpace, The Bronx Museum of the Arts, The Clemente Cultural Center, and others. Encarnación currently works and lives in The Bronx.
