Join us as we go Bat Crazy with The Alabama Bat Working Group's Education Committee! Beginning at 4:00 pm several bat activities will be happening in advance of the formal presentation. Kids can don a bat costume and masks and pose for photos at the Bat Photo Station. There will be bat related crafts and activities as well as a booth set up by Dr. Wes Stone that will showcase the tools that researchers use to capture bats and gather data. Tattoos and bat rings will be handed out to all kids. BATTY ABOUT BATS, an educational presentation given by Vicky Beckham Smith, the education chair of ABWG, will begin at 5:30. The presentation will feature a PowerPoint presentation, mounted bats and life size cutouts. The high light of the evening will be the viewing of live bats at the end of the program. Native bats and Egyptian fruit bats will be shown. This program is free for the public. Please see the link below for more details on park events statewide.
