Bats are very important to our ecosystems due to their pest control, pollination, and seed dispersal activities all over the planet. That is why Bat Conservation International designated April 17th as International Bat Appreciation Day to promote bat conservation and raise awareness about their importance. So let's celebrate Bat Appreciation Day together on April 19, 2025 (11am to 5pm) in our Odditorium with our friends from Evelyn's Wildlife Refuge! Learn about Virginia's native bats and other wildlife species! Learn about how the refuge rescues wild animals when they are trouble! Do a bat craft! Play a bat game! This event is free to attend!
