                    A musical offering for Día de los Muertos, a day of remembrance, brings together significant voices of the past and present in a program of engaging chamber music performed by UNCSA faculty artists and guest bassoonist Maribel Alonso from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.The program features works by Barbara Strozzi, Ruth Crawford Seeger, Sofia Gubaidulina (including her “Duo Sonata for Two Bassoons”), as well as living composers Jimena Contreras, Lori Laitman, and Tania León.
Performers include UNCSA faculty vocalist Jodi Burns, pianist Allison Gagnon, oboist Rachel Messing, double bassist Paul Sharpe, cellist Brooks Whitehouse and bassoonist Mariel Alonso and Stephanie Patterson.
