HEX - Biography
Hailing from England but based in Glasgow for nearly 20 years, Hex is a lifelong music fan with a
strong passion for Drum & Bass and a deep knowledge of the genre’s many styles and facets.
Busy in the studio since 2012, Hex’s original productions have found widespread support in the
underground scene, with releases on Modern Conveniences, Four Corners Music, Detached
Audio, Inform Records, Free Love Digi, Beats In Mind, Nurtured Beatz, Celsius and more. With an
appreciation for all sounds and vibes, his productions vary from minimal rollers to jungle
smashers, dark tech to melodic liquid and more. Expect the full 360 D&B sound both in the
studio and the DJ booth.
Often found warming up the crowd and testing new cuts at his residency at Glasgow's longest
running Drum & Bass night, Symbiosis, Hex has also graced the decks at License to Jungle,
Central Beatz, Electrikal, Jungle Nation, Rarewave and Liquid Funktion, as well as appearances at
locations around Scotland’s busy summer festival season.
From 2013 to 2021 Hex also ran a blog on all things drum & bass over at www.dnbdojo.co.uk.
Featuring reviews, premieres, guest mixes and a monthly podcast mixed by the man himself,
DNB Dojo established itself as one of the prominent sources of underground 170BPM music.
With DNB Dojo now in hibernation, Hex is refocused on his own productions and a new mix series - 360 sessions
Harry Jackson - Over the past couple of years Harry has made some serious moves throughout the Scottish drum & bass scene, playing in both Edinburgh and Glasgow on a regular basis, where he has been seen to support the likes of Amoss, Aphrodite, Fabio & Grooverider, and Charli Brix to name a few.
With the end of 2022, Harry launched his club night, ‘Disorder’, which has seen DLR, Enta, Myth, Doc Scott, Nectax, Dillinja and Randall coming up to the Scottish capital with great success. With the next few upcoming nights already in the works, expect the usual of high energy and heavy basslines. For Harry and his plans with Disorder, the party is only getting started.
Rodent - Rodent is a multi genre DJ, Promoter and Artist Liaison from Edinburgh who mainly specialises in Drum & Bass, Jungle, Tek and Core music. Her wide span of music taste knows no bounds and you can always expect something entirely different with each set. From focusing on sub-genres such as neurofunk to Hardtek, and also occasionally mashing up 140-220 bpm in an hour - the music selection is always known to be full throttle and bass weighty. At the start of 2023, Rodent then co-founded CandyFlip with her partner and fellow DJ F:N, another multi-genre collective - but this time focuses on one genre per event, where the crowds can enjoy the history and evolution of each and all sounds we know and love in the rave world. You can always expect to dance to well-known names, but also new and upcoming talent at each party.
Since taking on the club scene in Edinburgh, Rodent has quickly progressed to regularly play well known nights and has supported the likes of [IVY], Mandidextrous, Axyom, Napes, Burt Cope, Aphrodite, Xaetis and Kamikaze (to name a few!)
