Bass Drum of Death returns to Detroit, bringing their signature blend of gritty garage rock and southern swagger. Hailing from Oxford, Mississippi, the band began as the one-man project of John Barrett, eventually evolving into a powerhouse trio with his brother Jim Barrett and drummer Ian Kirkpatrick. With a discography that includes the cult classic GB City, the raw punch of Rip This (produced by Jacob Portrait of Unknown Mortal Orchestra), and their latest release Live…and Let Die, Bass Drum of Death has carved out a reputation for explosive live shows and relentless touring across North America, Europe, and Australia.
Now reunited with Fat Possum Records and fresh off a run of pandemic-fueled creativity, the band is back in action and currently working on their sixth studio album.
