About this Event
Learn the relaxing and mindful art of basket weaving with Kutumba's Joh Sherma.
Joh will guide through the easy to learn steps to create your own coiled basket using a variety of techniques and natural, hand dyed raffia grass.
The workshop fee includes raffia, needle and a yummy vegan afternoon tea, including pots of Joh's popular Masala Chiyaa!
There will be raffia and embellishments available to purchase on the day, including a selection of handcrafted Kutumba wares.
Open to ages 16+
Suitable for beginners with no weaving experience and can be adapted to those who have done some weaving.
ALL participants will be required to wear a mask and follow COVID policies throughout the duration of the workshop.
Our venue : Urban Wellness, has a fragrance free policy. As it is the home of natural aromatherapy products by Kindred Self, participants are asked not to wear synthetic perfumes to the venue.
Owing to the nature of this small group, tickets cannot be refunded or transferred.
