Don't miss out on this wonderful basket-weaving workshop using invasive vines! Participants will learn how to weave using vines and will take home their basket. Pruners can be brought from home, but some will also be provided. Time permitting, participants might see a demo of invasive vine removal. A break will be provided for lunch. You can bring your own snacks, lunches and beverages or you can order a pizza lunch from The Green Room Restaurant when you register for the class! Michelle Smith is a local artist and nature lover who studied basket weaving at John Campbell Folk School. She enjoys gathering natural, wild materials and turning them into useful creations, often weaving with invasive vines. These vines make beautiful pieces, and this practice helps to restore ecological balance and reduce waste. This class requires a minimum of 4 participants to occur.Register at https://www.hisawyer.com/.../schedules/activity-set/774231
