About this Event
This class runs about 1 hour and covers basic safety and operations of tool and/or equipment instruction. This will provide all the information needed to be certified on using the embroidery machine at the Lacey MakerSpace. For more in-depth project based hands-on instruction, we offer workshops and one-on-one mentoring.
Basic classes are always free for MakerSpace members. Individuals are welcome to sign up for multiple Basics classes until they feel confident on the equipment.
What you will learn:
- How to thread the machine
- How to hoop fabric and adjust the machine for different sizes
- Stabilizing fabrics
- How to embroider a design with the touch screen interface
To learn more about Floriani and how to digitize images and create custom patterns, look for intermediate courses on the embroidery machine.
* Waivers must be signed before class. Can be done in person at the front desk.
Class refund policy:
- 7 calendar days or more before the class start date: Refunds will be given, minus a 10% service fee (Eventbrite fees non-refundable)
- 6 calendar days to 2 days before class start date: Refunds, minus a 10% service fee, will be issued in the form of a credit voucher to be applied to a future offering within 1-year of the issue date.
- No refunds issued within 48 hours of any class offering.
