About this Event
Would you be able to survive in the wilderness in the event of an emergency? Some fundamental techniques and information, as well as the right items in your pack, can make survival possible. This seminar will cover these fundamentals and prepare you for handling the unexpected in the wilderness.
Topics covered in the class are wilderness safety planning, trip preparation, essential pack items and dealing with a survival situation including basics on shelter, fire, water, and signals.
Our very special guest presenter for this seminar is survival and primitive skills expert Bluebird Crossman. Over the past 40 years, he has studied how our primitive ancestors survived in the harsh desert environment and has taught these skills to students, of all ages, throughout Arizona. Bluebird was the survival consultant for the Discovery Channel's Dual Survival: Arizona program and is the founder of Bluebird's School of Ancient Skills. In addition, Bluebird is also an historian, practical archeologist, wilderness guide, and meditation instructor.
This is a free seminar.
