Basic Printer is the genre-defying project of Nashville-based artist Jesse Gillenwalters, blending experimental pop, indie rock, and electronic music into a high-energy live show that's equal parts heartfelt and off-the-wall. Think Dan Deacon meets Dirty Projectors by way of a synth lab.
In 2025, Basic Printer is touring in support of Goodbyenary Code, a full re-recording of one of his teenage albums - originally made in a bedroom in Binghamton, NY over a decade ago and never officially released. Now revived and reimagined “Taylor’s Version”-style, the album is being brought to the stage for the first time.
Over the past few years, Basic Printer has completed a 2-month national tour, opened for artists like Delicate Steve, Paris Monster, and Under the Rug, and built a loyal fanbase drawn to his unique blend of maximalist pop and emotional transparency. All performances are live hardware-based (no virtual instruments), and the shows are known for being colorful, dynamic, and deeply engaging.
**ABOUT DETH RALI ::**
The project of multi-instrumentalist Jay Maike, Deth Rali blends synthpop and darkwave into immersive music that seems to spawn a universe of its own. Maike’s fascination with fantasy worlds, melancholy, and vaporwave aesthetics help set the table for their brand new album “Ruby’s Castle Island”. As featured in Rolling Stone Espanol (July 2024), Deth Rali’s idiosyncratic vision is often described as a “synth-pop straight from a cult documentary” and their commitment to theatrical, avant-garde performances have earned them critical acclaim and adoration from their audiences. Maike’s willingness to experiment across genres help create the band’s fluid identity and a unique sound that is truly their own. Inspired by the cinematic worlds of Hayao Miyaziki’ and Studio Ghibli, Deth Rali’s new album “Ruby’s Castle Island” tells the story of a little girl named Ruby who leaves her sheltered life in search of adventure. The story, part rock opera and part cult documentary, is one told in vignettes across 12 brand new tracks, and feels sonically evocative of 80’s synth pop, 90’s shoegaze, and early 00’s indie pop.
