About this Event
Course: A three (3) day POST certified course designed as a skill building module for the first responder new peer support team member. The course will provide a comprehensive review of peer support best practices along with in-depth discussions on some of the new concepts in this critical area. Presented from the practitioner’s perspective through interactive discussion, practical exercises and specific case studies examining real challenges peer supporters have faced when supporting others. Our experienced instructors have extensive experience in the very relevant disciplines of trauma recovery, program building, and many years of experience across the country. This is a great opportunity to learn new and best practices of contemporary peer support.
