About this Event
Dive into metal fabrication with this basic class that covers MIG welding and how to think about your fabrication projects. We will spend the first hour and a half learning how to weld, and the rest of class learning how to use basic metalworking tools, including a horizontal bandsaw, drill press, and metal shear. We will cover basic layout tricks and tools and then put our new skills to use by making a set of brackets you can proudly use in your home.
This class is perfect for beginners and those looking to gain more confidence with their projects. Materials and a welding hood and jacket are supplied. Sutdents will need to bring gloves and wear close-toed leather shoes.
Age Limits
Minors between the age of 12 to 16 are welcome to join but must be accompanied by an adult. A ticket should be purchased for both the minor and adult. Minors that are between 17 and 18 will still need an adult to sign a minor waiver form but an adult does not have to buy an accompanying ticket.
