Scope of the Seminar
Basic designs for F-E-M-P or Firepro – Electrical - Mechanical - Plumbing Engineering, more known as "MEPF“ (mechanical, electrical, plumbing & fire pro engineers).
Fire Protection engineers are responsible for the building's over-all fire and life safety including fire detection & alarm or FDAS, toxic gas detection & extraction, air pressurization of egress areas, automatic fire sprinkler systems (AFSS), passive & active fire protection systems.
Electrical (& Electronic) engineers are responsible for the building's power distribution & standby power generators/ uninterruptible power supply (UPS)/ solar power supply systems, extra low voltage or ELV auxiliary systems (telecommunication, signalization, building automation systems or BAS, etc), grounding system, lightning protection, as well as lighting and small power (CO) systems.
Mechanical engineers design and oversee the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), fire suppression/ sprinkler system (83psi and above with fire pump & jockey pump), stairwell pressurization, steam lines & boilers, lift/ elevator systems.
Plumbing/Sanitary engineers often design or oversee lower pressure fire protection (without fire pump), hot and cold water supply system, gray water re-use, sanitary sewer lines & ventilation, LPG/gas lines, rainwater collection and storm drainage systems.
