About this Event
There are so many basic skills that used to be taught in school or at home that have been lost. One of them is basic sewing and mending skills. Let’s be real, clothes are expensive, but lost buttons, busted seams, holes in sweaters and missing hems can relegate them to the back of the closet or the donation bag.
This class will teach you basic hand sewing and repair techniques to help you return those garments to active duty, no fancy equipment needed. It will also give you some understanding of when a garment is in need of professional help (or just plain beyond help).
If you do not have an item to mend, practice materials will be provided. 🧵
