This class is for new handgun owners who would just like to learn the basics and be able to shoot their firearm safely and effectively. This class covers the basics of safely operating a firearm and the fundamentals of shooting. This information comes from USCCA's Women Handgun and Self Defense Fundamentals*.
Topics Include Firearm Safety, Clearing a Handgun, Loading a Handgun, Fundamentals of Handgun Shooting, Handgun Cleaning, Putting It Into Practice, and Live Fire
Price includes Range Fee. If you are a member of HISR please reach out to us before signing up for a class.
This class meets the requirements needed to graduate Protector Academy Level 01. Please let us know if you would like to take the shooting qualification after class.
Range is located outdoors and class will be held rain or shine. If weather conditions render to be unsafe, class will be postponed at no additional cost.
Participants must be at least 13 years old. Participants aged 13-18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who is also enrolled in the class.
*This class is not exclusively for women.
