The goal of the Basic GSW workshop is to increase someone's chance of survival from physical injury and decrease impact of emotional injury. Key topics include:-UMedics' General Principles of First Aid
-Tactical awareness
-Treating Wounds without a Kit
-Intro to Tourniquets
-Emotional Aspects of Community Care Response
-Calling 911
-Safety and de-escalation with police
-Community care application to GSW response
Dinner will be provided, and a circle will be facilitated during the last few minutes of the workshop.
Youth ages 12-18 who participate will receive a $25 gift card.
