Come along to Cockerham Goats to find out the basics of goat keeping with an emphasis on meat production.Designed with the complete beginner in mind this course also suits those with a little previous experience.
We cover topics such as basic handling, choosing goats, feeding, giving treatments, foot trimming, field, fencing and building design etc.
You get hands on experience in as many topics as possible
You will receive handouts for all the topics we cover plus some others we don't get time to discuss!
Please note - We also run The kidding goat courses in spring - watch this space for spring 2024 course dates.
At all times we expect you to attend in clean, not farm dirty clothing for the health of our goats.
