The BC Transportation Endorsement is a certification that allows Basic First Aid (formerly OFA 1) and Intermediate First Aid (formerly OFA 2) first aid attendants to transport injured or ill individuals to medical aid. This endorsement is required by WorkSafeBC for first aid attendants who need to transport patients to the hospital.If you are applying to be a 2025 Wildfire Fighter, all applicants must possess a first aid certificate recognized in the B.C. workplace. The minimum certification options include:
Occupational First Aid Level 1 or Level 2 certificate and Transportation Endorsement
or
Occupational First Aid Level 3 certificate
First aid certificates must be valid until Oct. 31, 2025. You will be asked to show proof of first aid or proof of enrollment in a recognized first aid course at the interview. Applicants without appropriate first aid documentation (certificate, enrollment or equivalency certificate) will be removed from the competition.
Our next upcoming course date is December 17-18, 2024 to take both Basic First-aid and Transport Endorsement.
If you already have your Basic First-aid you can register to take just the Transport Endorsement.
