Need help with your dog? Start the new year off right with some basic group training offered by Bow Wow Babysitters. This 4-week class will be indoors and outdoors, weather depending, at the West Rutland Rec Center.
It will teach you how to better pick up on cues from your dog so you can handle them better and make them happier.
Objectives include:
-learning what dog body language looks like and means
-how to handle dogs on leash
-basic commands as a foundation for all obedience training
- the do's and don'ts of shaping behaviors you want
- breed traits and what they need according to their breed
-basic exercise activities, amounts needed and downtime tips
Organic treats and informational handouts will be provided to each handler as well as extra water and bowls.
Handlers are asked to bring their own leashes, water and bowls to stop the spread of any contaminants.
Instructor is fully insured.
Class is limited to 4 participants and their leashed dogs. Waivers will be signed at the start of the class. Dogs will be spread out and will work with their handlers throughout the duration of the class. This is a participant class, so wear comfortable shoes!
Dates are Dec. 9, 16, 23 and 30th from 5:30-6:30 PM. Cost is $150 per dog/handler team for all 4 weeks.
