About this Event
Want to know more about computers, but you’re not sure where to start? This is the class for you!
Come in for a simple, practical guide to using phones, tablets, computers, and the internet. Get a handle on weird tech terms, learn the difference between the internet, Wi-Fi, and your cell service, figure out what apps are and learn how to find one that does what you need.
Classes will always include a basic overview of terms and a broad introduction to the basics of computing, then will flex based on feedback from the class to cover a specific use. We’ll learn how to set up email addresses, watch videos, play music, make posters and fliers, access the library’s online catalog, and whatever else you and your fellow students want to try your hands at.
This is a beginner-level class suitable for ages 14 and up. You don’t need to bring any materials with you to the class, but you will need a USB flash drive if you want to save any work you do in the class.
