Participants will be introduced to the traditional craft of block printing exploring its basic techniques motifs and the rhythm of imprinting patterns onto fabric.
Under guided instruction you will learn how to prepare the surface apply paints and use hand-carved wooden blocks to create your own designs. Once you’ve understood the process you’ll get the chance to print your own unique cotton fabric experimenting with colors and compositions to bring your imagination to life.
All materials will be provided – including paints blocks and a soft cotton fabric of table placemat size which you’ll take home as a personalized creation.
The experience is open for all! Whether you’re a beginner or simply curious about traditional crafts this workshop offers a hands-on way to connect with one of India’s most beloved textile art forms.
