Game begins at 1pm, please arrive early.

Shoot from multiple camera spots at field level with professional baseball photographer, Tim Phillis.

Participants will learn sports / baseball shooting basics as well as sports settings and camera tips to maximize the sports photography experience. Attendee will be add high level college baseball photos to their personal portfolio.

Pixel Connection will also be offering discounted rentals through the Avon location the week of the game. We will also have a few opportunities to try some longer lenses also supplied by Pixel Connection at the field.

The event is open to casual to professional photographers who want to experience shooting from field level and learning some basic tips. This workshop is also great for the experienced shooter looking to expand their portfolio shooting high level D3 College Baseball.

Participants should be comfortable moving into the manual modes on their DSLR. Participants should be able to comfortably navigate and control shutter speed and F stop allowing for the maximum baseball experience. Shooters should also have a telephoto lens to maximize shooting experience. Preferably a fast zoom / prime lens to adapt to lighting challenges.


1. Who should attend?

The intro baseball class is open to the casual sports / baseball shooter who wants to experience shooting a game from field level while learning some basic shooting tips including settings to maximize game action. The intro baseball event will be held during the day to allow the participants to spend more time shooting action and less time adjusting for dusk or night. The intro class participants should have an understanding of their camera and how to navigate the manual modes. A wide lens and atleast a 200mm or more is strongly recommended. This is the perfect class for parents looking to learn how to take better action shots of their child during baseball action.

2. What will the attendee walk away with (knowledge, shots, experience)?

Participants will learn sports / baseball shooting basics as well as sports settings and camera tips to maximize the sports photography experience. Attendee will be add high level baseball photos to their personal portfolio.

3. Recommended items for the attendees to bring

Participants should bring a telephoto/ zoom lens preferably 200mm or greater. We also recommend bringing personal items such as small chair or stool, bug spray, sunscreen, water, snack and fresh camera batteries.
