Participants in this class will explore the rich possibilities of working in bas relief using simple materials such as fiber paper and glass powder to create complex forms, shapes and textures in kiln formed glass. Intricate surface relief, texture, color and light interactions are possible in "shallow space." Subtle changes in the levels of the surface and the interplay of light and shadow on the planes enable us to see and appreciate the composition. Cold working techniques will finish the pieces for display.
