Joel Coen, 1991New York City playwright Barton Fink goes to Hollywood to earn big money and make a difference as a screenwriter, but things don’t quite go as expected in this dark comedy from the Coen brothers. Beset with writer’s block and mounting desperation, Fink’s problems multiply after a fateful night at his seedy hotel. Starring John Turturro as Fink, John Goodman as his insurance salesman neighbor, and Steve Buscemi as a creepy bellboy.
