Hello Marauders On the 9th April we are offering two walks of varying difficulty levels around the Pontypridd and Trehafod areas. Depending on which route you choose you'll get to see the lovely Barry Sidings countryside park, parts of Gelliwion forest, great views over Porth & Pontypridd as well as the famous Rhondda Heritage Park.
The easier route will follow tarmac paths all the way to the Heritage Park & back which covers roughly 4 miles with minimal inclines. This is a Level 5 walk on our Marauders walk scale.
The tougher route will take you up into the forestry paths of Mynydd Gelliwion which covers roughly 6 miles of walking up and down some fairly steep sections of gravel tracks. This is a Level 8 walk on our Marauders walk scale.
Both groups will meet for a refreshment break at Caffe Bracchi for around 11:30 before walking the return leg all together.
As usual wear weather appropriate clothing and footwear and bring a drink and snack along with you.
Meet up at Pontypridd RFC car park for 9:20am for the 9:30am start
