About this Event
Join us as Bob Cryer reminisces about his legendary comedic father Barry Cryer through his new book Barry Cryer: Same Time Tomorrow?: the Life and Laughs of a Comedy Legend.
In this ode to Barry’s life, Bob will share insight not only into the family man behind the jokes, but also into a vanishing era of comedy.
Barry’s career stretched from the music halls of the fifties, working alongside the likes of Morecambe and Wise and David Frost, to a steady place on Radio 4’s I’m Sorry I haven’t a Clue. Bob will share a lifetime of unique memories as well as reflections on living and working with a comedy icon.
Bob Cryer is a writer and actor. He collaborated with his father on writing the fictional diaries of Sherlock Home’s landlady, Mrs Hudson, which also became a play and radio show. He also acted in several television programmes, including the soap opera Hollyoaks.
