"Caught between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea"
Join us for an engaging and enlightening talk by Dr. Zac Long, Associate Professor at UNC Wilmington. In his presentation, “Barrier Island Plant Ecology: Caught between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea,” Dr. Long will delve into the dynamic and often harsh environments of North Carolina’s barrier islands, where plants must navigate a narrow ecological tightrope between salt spray, shifting sands, and rising seas.
