To celebrate Seniors Week 2025, we're hosting a series of wonderful events promoting wellbeing and connection. Our week culminates in a Family Fun Day, planned and hosted by our residents.We invite the whole community to join us and celebrate the contributions of older Tasmanians!
🍕Tues 14th, 1pm: Barossa Park Lodge's houses will go head-to-head in a pizza cooking competition, with judges choosing the best! Volunteers are welcome to help us cook up a storm.
🎶Wed 15th, 2pm: Join us in the Lodge community room for happy hour featuring classic tunes by Johnny.
🫖Thurs 16th, 1:30pm: St Therese’s school choir will bring the entertainment before joining residents for a Devonshire Tea.
🎸Fri 17th, 10am: a ukelele group will visit each of our houses, starting with Tolosa, then Clydesdale, Timsbury and Houghton.
🥪Fri, 11am-1pm: Families are invited to come along to the Barossa Park Community Centre and make healthy lunchboxes with our residents, then enjoy a relaxing picnic together.
👪Fri, 1:30pm: a Seniors choir serenade in the Lodge community room.
🎪Sat 18th 10am-3pm: Family fun day! Planned and hosted by our residents, come along to the Lodge community room for a wonderful day of entertainment. There'll be a photo booth, show bags, kids corner, free fairy floss, an icecream van and sausage sizzle, and even roving entertainment so no one misses out!
