In dieser besonderen Show wird das Baron Arnolds Quintett (Baron's BAQ) die Musik aus dem digital veröffentlichten Debütalbum „Lesson's Learned“ im ersten Set des Abends spielen. Für den zweiten Teil wird ein besonderer Gast, YAHIMA PIERDRA CORDOBA eingeladen. Sie schließt sich der Band an, um einen Eindruck von dem zu vermitteln, was in Zukunft kommen wird.
Außerdem wird Niklas Lukassen die Band am Bass verstärken, zusammen mit dem weltumspannenden und einzigartigen Schlagzeuger der Album-Aufnahmen, Elé Howell (Ravi Coltrane, Christian Scott).
Das Quintett BAQ wurde vom Posaunisten/Komponisten Baron Arnold während der Coronavirus-Pandemie konzipiert. Das Debütalbum der Gruppe, „Lessons Learned“ wird nun 2022 veröffentlicht und ist ein Produkt all der verwirrten Emotionen, kreativen Möglichkeiten und aufgestauten Energie, die ein bekanntes Merkmal dieser Zeit sind. Es ist auch Ausdruck einiger der musikalischen Beziehungen, die Baron seit mehr als zehn Jahren pflegt: mit dem Schlagzeuger Elé Howell, der ebenfalls in der Bay Area, Kalifornien, aufgewachsen ist, mit dem Bassisten Matt Adomeit, den er während seines Studiums in Ohio kennenlernte, und mit dem Keyboarder Joschka Oßke und dem Gitarristen Igor Osypov, die er kennenlernte, nachdem er nach Berlin gekommen war. Diese fünf Persönlichkeiten haben sich zu einem Ensemble zusammengeschlossen, das emotional, kontemplativ und unbewusst modern ist.

For this special show, Baron's BAQ will be releasing the "Lesson's Learned" digitally and playing music from the debut album for the first part of the evening. For the second part, we will be inviting special guest YAHIMA PIERDRA CORDOBA to join the group - giving an impression of what's to come for the future.
Additionally, Niklas Lukassen will be joining the group on Bass for this show along with globe-trotting and original drummer from the album recording, Elé Howell (Ravi Coltrane, Christian Scott).
BAQ was conceived by trombonist/composer Baron Arnold during the coronavirus pandemic, and the group’s debut record “Lessons Learned” is a product of all of the confused emotions, creative opportunities, and pent-up energy that are a familiar feature of this time. It is also an expression of some of the musical relationships Baron has cultivated for more than decade: with drummer Elé Howell, who also grew up in the Bay Area, California, with bassist Matt Adomeit, who he met while studying in Ohio, and with keyboardist Joschka Oßke and guitarist Igor Osypov, who he met after coming to Berlin. These five personalities and six compositions of Baron’s have combined to form an album that is emotive, contemplative, and unselfconsciously modern.
