About this Event
Animal Farm by George Orwell • Adapted by Ian Wooldridge
Directed by Izzy Pedego
Animal Farm is an allegorical story about fascist pigs (literally) which eerily aligns with the modern debate about the lesser of two evils. After overthrowing their human masters, the pigs rise to power and create equally, if not more brutal circumstances for the farm animals. The production features actors of all experience levels who are open to making noise, moving in odd ways, and finding comfort in the ugliness that comes with playing a non-human character. Theater Arts/Performance, Play & Design student Izzy Pedego creates a sonic world inspired by punk and alternative music from the '60s–'90s in collaboration with instrumentalist David Coulter.
