Welcome to the 2nd annual Barnacle Buster! We'll be embarking on an epic adventure of the all road/ATB/gravel/GROAD/classic MTB kind. There will be some roads, some trails, some gravel, some parts where you'll wonder what the heck is going on here. Be ready for anything.
We'll ride the same route as last year so expect ~100kms/~1000m climbing over a full day ride. We'll start in Courtenay heading up to Comox and then back down to Courtenay and over to Comox Lake. Then climb the mountains above Cumberland before we bomb a descent into Royston. The final leg will take us from Royston along the water back to Courtenay for a post-ride survivors celebration.
With strategic stops for coffee/beer/burgers/pizza we'll stay fueled and keep spirits high. Then we'll plumb the depths of Adventure Biking Hell and see who cracks. Just kidding. Maybe.
The ride is Saturday 26 April 2025. For any out of town visitors we'll organize a second ride Sunday to make the trip worthwhile.
