Making their Portsmouth, RI debut, The Conscious Band was first formed in the spring of 1985 and is based in Boston, Massachusetts. Each band member brings a unique feel to the music, all of them from different walks of life, though each sharing a genuine adoration for what is referred to as "conscious music." They are truly dedicated to providing a sound that is authentic, distinct, and cultural for all listeners. They do this with the Jamaican roots of Errol and Bobin.
This band is no stranger to the big stage, as they have performed with a long list of musical greats. Reggae monarchs such as Barrington Levy, Beres Hammond, Lady Saw, Beenie Man, Coco T, and Cutty Ranks have all been backed by the Conscious Band.
