Learn proper “petiquette” on public lands. During the program, pets and their human companions will hike with a park ranger to learn about the B.A.R.K. Ranger principles. Afterward, participants become official B.A.R.K. Rangers during an induction ceremony where they receive a certificate and bandana. Registration is required.Group ceremonies take place behind the Visitor Center, with a short hike through the South Woods from 10:00am-11:00am and 1:00pm-2:00pm. Individual ceremonies, for dogs that do best without unfamiliar dogs, will be from 11:00am to 1:00pm in 15 minute time slots and do not include a guided hike.
Register for this free program over the phone at 419-313-3236 or in person at the Visitor Center from 10:00am-4:00pm, Wednesday-Sunday. Please note that pets are allowed on all our hiking trails but are not allowed inside the building.
