While Ina and Jeffrey Garten took the nation on a tour of farmers markets in Paris for the Olympics, we here in Madison are celebrating them at the first annual Barefoot Contessa Farmers Market Costume Party: morning shopping at the market, bubbles at Square Wine, and brunch to follow! I mean, how fabulous is that! Plan to meet up around 10:30am outside the Overture Center for a morning of sharing stories of your summer jaunts, shopping, and swapping your favorite recipe (you just gotta try the Tomatoes & Burrata Salad). We’ll convene at Square Wine after making a loop for a generous glass, and then make our way out to a late brunch thereafter.
So, slip into your wigs and linen shirts, get the pearls and celebrate all that Madison has to offer….. and just remember, if you can’t find it at the farmers market, store-bought is just fine.
