Barefoot Boogie - Ecstatic Dance

Come and join us for an Ecstatic Dance to an eclectic mix of great tunes.

Bringing like minded souls together in a welcoming space for a fun, free-form dance with no distractions or interruptions.

I am a genre-fluid DJ so the music will start slowly with perhaps some folk or ballad songs, and build to much higher energy electronic dance music, before cooling down again.

Have fun, following your own journey through the dance, in a safe space with great people and great music.

Guidelines:

It’s an alcohol-free space. An opportunity to dance the true you in a supportive, non-judgemental environment. Bring a bottle of water or juice (water and chocolate are also available at the event).

No chatter during the dance. There’s a welcome opportunity for friendly hellos and chat before the opening circle. After that it’s a distraction from the deep dive into the experience of the music and dancing, connecting with others through movement.

No street shoes please. Barefoot or dance trainers recommended Socks are too slippy but some with grippy pads are fine.

Wear whatever you like, simply comfortable and/or fancy, it’s up to you. Layers are best as it can get pretty hot on the floor as the energy builds, then cooling again.

Be yourself! Freestyle dance is a great opportunity for self-expression, letting go of inhibitions and the fear of being judged.
