If you've ever wondered if you could learn to trim your own horse's hooves, or want an understanding of the anatomy and function of the hoof, this clinic is perfect for you.

Barefoot Basics offers:
Educational Insights:
• Gain an understanding of the hoof’s anatomy, its function, and purpose.
• Explore the pros and cons of barefoot vs. shod hooves.
• Learn to recognise a healthy hoof, and what to look out for.
Practical Learning:
• Identifying a healthy hoof - learn to recognise a healthy hoof, and what to look out for.
• Trimming techniques - watch live demonstration and engage in discussion about tool handling, trimming approach, hoof handling and horsemanship.
Hands-On Experience:
Test your new knowledge on a cadaver hoof, and gain practical experience in a controlled environment.
Take-Home Resource:
You will receive a workbook to take home, filled with valuable information and guidelines to support your hoofcare journey.

We believe that learning doesn't stop when the clinic ends, so we’re offering ongoing support to all our participants. Whether you have follow-up questions, need advice on specific hoof care challenges, or want to discuss your progress, our team of professional trimmers, Maya, Faith & Emily are here to help.
$100 non refundable deposit is required to secure your spot.
There is an option to stay on for a casual Sunday morning for those that would like further guidance (additional $100).
