Poet Registration: Opens at 6:00 PM
Kick off 2026 with BPL’s Bards & Brews Poetry Slam! Enjoy live music by BrightLight Experience and watch Birmingham’s top poets compete for $500 in cash prizes: $250 for 1st place, $150 for 2nd, and $100 for 3rd. Five audience judges will select the winners. Poets must be 18+, and the slam is limited to the first 10 who sign up.
This special Dry January edition will feature mocktails from Trunk Tea instead of craft beer. Admission is free, doors open at 6:00 PM, and the slam kicks off at 6:30 PM.
