About this Event
This year our soundwalks programme explores urban spaces big and small, from wide open squares to narrow passageways, shortcuts and interiors.
Our May walk will explore the acoustics of indoor spaces and brutalist exteriors at the Barbican Centre, and the contrast with older streets and alleyways in the surrounding area.
We will share our thoughts and observations of walking, listening and noticing afterwards, over a drink.
The walk is about 45-60mins plus optional discussion time at the end.
Free; all welcome, no previous experience or special skills required.
We're meeting just outside the main entrance to the Barbican Centre in Silk Street.
