North Kent Mind and No Bad Days Barbershop have teamed up to provide FREE training on identifying signs of mental health struggles in clients and how to offer them appropriate support.
This one-day course will teach you how to recognise signs of someone struggling, improve your listening skills, and guide them towards relevant support services. It will also cover how to look after your own mental health and wellbeing.
Although this is a free course we do recommend a one off donation of £20, either in advance or on the day, to help support our charity.
Upon completion of the course, you will receive a certificate along with a sticker for your shop window and internal mirrors. This sticker signifies that your barbershop has undergone mental health training and is a safe, non judgemental space for anyone seeking to talk whilst getting their haircut.
We will also provide leaflets that you are able to give to clients or leave on display.
Light refreshments will be provided but please bring your own lunch
Parking facilities are available at the rear of the community centre.
