Barbara Chen makes her first visit to Karen's Place on January 17. Barbara Chen is a North Wales, PA-based singer-songwriter crafting songs that blend rich theology with timeless melodies. In 2025, she won the Southern Baptist Church Music Conference Songwriting Competition for her original hymn "To Follow Christ" and has since performed at national Christian music conferences, including the Sing! Conference and The Guild, as well as local Philadelphia venues. Her debut single, "Patient Father," is a devotional worship song inviting listeners to slow down and rest in the Lord. Through her music, Barbara aims to help people draw near and realign their hearts with Christ. When not songwriting, she enjoys traveling, staying active, and spending time with those close to her.
